Digital Download Game World - News and Opinions from the DLC side of the Video Game Industry

Good News, Bad News For Upcoming Scott Pilgrim DLC

Well, the Ubisoft news train keeps on trucking here at DDGW. Third post in a row, I apologize but there is just so much going on with Ubisoft right now. At their 2010 Digital Day event yesterday they announced that DLC for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game should be hitting the digital marketplace in November. This of course is the perfect time to release said DLC, as it coincides with the DVD and Blu-ray release of the film. Can’t wait (bites back of fist).

The DLC will include a new playable character, Knives Chau, as well as two new modes, a free-for-all arena battle with weapons and dodgeball. Ubisoft will be serving up this tasty DLC dish at the mouth watering price of $1.99 on PSN or 160 Microsoft Points on XBLM.

Also being released on this momentous day, will be a patch to address issues with difficulty balancing (booo! – the games difficulty was the best feature), swat several bugs in the game and introduce drop-in/drop-out co-op. The latter will be for offline play only. According to Joystiq, when asked, Ubisoft said there are no plans to incorporate online multiplayer into the game, nor any further DLC for SPVTWTG. Insert sad face.

Oh, what could have been. Here, have a free Scott Pilgrim wallpaper to help cheer you up.

WTF? I thought we all bought the FULL game already. God damn Ubisoft.

Anyways, superior version confirmed on 360. Time to Jump IN Nintendo Drones/Sony Slaves!!!

I haven’t had a chance to play the 360 one yet. Was impressed with the PS3, love the difficulty, but hate that there is no online multiplayer. Hope Ubisoft doesn’t abandon this game.
