Tmnt is back and the visuals are superb. Everyone remembers this classic from the super nintendo. The only problem is that's all you need to enjoy this game. The game is a clear remake of the old version but with better graphics. Actually, the game is alittle shorter than the SNES version. They have removed some things like in Neon-Night Riders, the camera does not give you the front view of the road for some of the stage. Also in Sewer Surfin' there is no boss at the end. And Finally, you are unable to fight Super Shredder. The game is actually alittle shorter than the SNES version.

Also, you might sigh with relief at the idea of online multiplayer meaning you dont need to get your friends all together to play 4-players, However; that might be a better idea than online. The online multiplayer is difficult to play because its hard to hold a room together with four turtles and alot of baddies on-screen. The server can't seem to handle it. 11 tries on a multiplayer game and none made it past the first level. So dont get too excited over online multiplayer.

On the flip side, Visuals are HD and excellent. New stats on the turtles provide a variation between them. If your an achievment fanatic, i have good news. The achievements are extrememly easy to get. In the first playthrough you cant unlock all but two. 1UP on the gamerscore. The game still provides the classic fun you remember having kicking shell. But if your debating to buy this because you want to try it. You would have a better bet picking up a SNES version, dusting off your old SNES and poping that in.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back for more in Ubisoft's remake of the classic Konami arcade/SNES game Turtles In Time. This is a remake of the classic coin-op from the 80’s. This was one of my favorite coin-ops of all time so I couldn’t wait to try it. Then I remembered…I already did! The same game was released as a “Classic Arcade” version on XBLA back in 2007.

Now that 2007 version was a direct rehash of the game. This, on the other hand, is the same story and levels but a completely retooled 3d, HD environment and it looks great! I was amazed at how much fun this was to play again.
Looks aside, I finished the game on normal in about 25 minutes. Some of the old bosses are here but not all. I realized after the game that we did not see Rocksteady or Bebop, both Bosses are in the coin-op version and the SNES version of the game. To double check this, I went into the menu to load up the classic arcade version and was surprised to find it not included.

My 25 minutes of gameplay had already unearthed all the content that is available in this game.

So sure, there’s still the multiplayer, and yes we did have fun playing 4 player local. I was able to find an online co-op match fairly quickly. I enjoyed playing these as this experience brought me back to my coin-op days, when 4 of us would pile the quarters on the dash and button macs our way to Splinter’s demise. After all that, I still could not shake the feeling of disappointment over the amount of content delivered. The bar has already been set much higher for 800 point titles. This game, like many others this summer, was scheduled to ship for 1200 points and then launched at 800 after a last minute price drop.

TMNT Reshelled is a good game and it would have made a fantastic quick 400 point add-on to any game library. It is true to the original game while delivering polished videos and passable audio. I had a blast playing it but it was definitely a short lived experience.
