Until now, it has somehow always fallen by the wayside and I’ve not had the time to get into the BioWare epic. I started playing it a couple nights ago and today BioWare announced the newest DLC pack to be released for the the game. How fortuitous.

Never follow me.” With these words, Morrigan vanished into the shadows. Her plans and her whereabouts have remained a mystery… until now. But whether you seek answers, revenge, or reconciliation with your lost love, you may find more than you bargained for.

In preparation for the upcoming Dragon Age 2, BioWare will tie off a key plot thread in Witch Hun, the thrilling ending to the Origins storyline will give players a chance to finally discover the secret held by Morrigan.

Nearly a year after the dreaded Archdemon has been slain you’ll travel back to the southern wilderness to find an answer to the one remaining question: what happened to Morrigan after the final moments in the Dragon Age: Origins campaign? The sorceress joined the Wardens cause, but it is said her true purpose was not revealed until the eve of the last battle. She vanished into the shadows, and while rumors claimed she crossed over the mountains into Orlais no trace of her path could be found. She was never heard from again… until now. Word has reached the Wardens that Morrigan has returned to Ferelden. Is it really her?

Last month we brought you news that Nvinium Games launched Space Empires: Battle for Supremacy, a social RPG that available on Facebook and now it seems they’re ready to continue their quest to conquer the social gaming market with the expansion of Space Empires to the iPhone and iPad.

All of us here at DDGW have spent the last month playing Space Empires on Facebook and it has been a surprisingly enjoyable experience. Without a doubt it is one of the better if not best developed social games on Facebook. The presentation, vertical and horizontal transitions, overall design and community involvement all combine for a galactic RPG worth investing your time in.

Nvinium has teamed up with international publishers Strategy First to continue the ongoing expansion of Space Empires to social media and casual game platforms. Social gamers will be able to connect with Space Empire gamers anywhere and at anytime through soon to be released versions of the game on the iPhone and iPad.

Due to the overwhelming success and avid following Space Empires has received since its launch, helped push developers to expand from the PC to Faceebook. Since its launch on Facebook the developers have received the same exceptional responses from fans and accordingly began the process for expansion to mobile gaming platforms.

Space Empires originally released in 1993 for the PC, featured five installments and one sister title. The social version of Space Empires recently debuted on Facebook and is considered the top sci-fi social game on the platform.

Matt Abrams, Chief Executive Officer of Nvinium said “We are excited to bring Strategy First’s critically acclaimed franchise to a wider social gaming audience. This move to the ‘I-Phone’ and the ‘I-Pad’ is the next step in bridging the gap between traditional and social gamers

Space Empires Battle for Supremacy for the I-Phone and the I-Pad is expected to launch in early 2011.

Last week I was perusing through my 360 game library and noticed that I didn’t have Plants vs Zombies. Obviously having a major brain fart and forgetting that it was released in 2009 on PC and Mac and has yet to make its way to the console market. So imagine my surprise when a few days later I received a press release informing me that critically acclaimed and PopCap’s top-grossing iPhone game would be making its way to XBLA this fall.

What surprised me even more was that PopCap revealed there would be even more game content than the previous iteration of the franchise, boasting seven games modes, including two all-new multiplayer modes, 12 unique achievement and 21 mini-games.

In addition, PopCap has also confirmed that there will be a boxed edition for the Xbox 360, which will include Plants vs Zombies, Zuma, and Peggle “later this year”, with a Game of The Year version launching on PC and Mac at the same time (a limited number of which will include a zombie figurine).

Although tower defense games are nothing new Plants vs Zombies adds an imaginative touch to every detail. Innovative and beautifully designed this is a must for the hardcore gamer to the casual one.

Launch date is anticipated to be early September.

We’ve seen things like this before with games like Boarderlands where it seems like you are finding a new type of weapon every 5 steps. However, the cynic in me will reserve judgement until I see or experience some gameplay, because as any gamer knows, if the gameplay isn’t there I don’t care how many guns I can create. Having said that, I am impressed with this ambitious attempt from an indie developer.

ABOUT BLACKLIGHT: TANGO DOWN
Available this summer on XBLA, PSN, and PC, BlackLight: Tango Down is a fast-paced, action-oriented first-person shooter that marks the first release of what will be a multi-platform entertainment franchise. Beyond the video game, a BlackLight feature film from Twentieth Century Fox and comic book series are currently in development. Designed to bring a fun, absorbing, and high quality AAA multiplayer experience to DLG venues, the game exists in a future between contemporary and sci-fi shooters – part Blade Runner and part Call of Duty.

Developed by Zombie Studios, BlackLight: Tango Down takes place 25 years into the future. The player takes control of an elite covert ops team that is sent after missing American Colonel Klein and his personal BlackLight team. The game will feature four single player/co-op levels that support up to four players at once, 12 multiplayer maps, seven game types and literally millions of weapons customization combinations. As the team advances through regions that consist of old world architecture over laden with ubiquitous modern holographic advertising, the trigger based dynamic AI offers an intense and varied experience every time the game is played.
